Noa Ehkol<\/a> exhibit at LACMA last night. \u00a0It should just be called the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ewmncenter.com\/133376\/Noa%2DEshkol%2D1%2D1%2D1\" target=\"_blank\">Noa Eshkol<\/a> exhibit. \u00a0Basically it is an installation of videos of various Eshkol dance routines performed by her students with some of Eshkol&#8217;s tapestries as backdrops. \u00a0The videos are static (the camera does not move, but the dancers do). \u00a0There is a rhythmic background noise, not music. \u00a0It&#8217;s sort of nice to watch, like any video would be, but not as nice as watching modern dance live. \u00a0We weren&#8217;t sure why it belonged in an art museum.<\/p>\n<p>LACMA also has a huge exhibit of photographs by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacma.org\/art\/exhibition\/robert-adams-place-we-live\" target=\"_blank\">Robert Adams<\/a>. \u00a0The rooms are too large and so the installation looks a little silly, just rows and rows of ordinary-size photographs in otherwise empty rooms. \u00a0The photos, which feature photos of the American West in Adams&#8217; &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/New_Topographics\" target=\"_blank\">New Topographic<\/a>&#8221; style, are also sort of empty. \u00a0The most affecting were the ones showing deforestation in Oregon.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Nimbus Sans L', sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53\" title=\"Screen shot 2012-06-03 at 4.27.34 PM\" src=\"https:\/\/schoenblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Screen-shot-2012-06-03-at-4.27.34-PM-246x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"246\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/schoenblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Screen-shot-2012-06-03-at-4.27.34-PM-246x300.png 246w, https:\/\/schoenblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Screen-shot-2012-06-03-at-4.27.34-PM.png 409w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 246px) 100vw, 246px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pam and I went to the opening of the Sharon Lockhart &#8211;
